Former U.S. President Jimmy ÉäÉäÎÝ and his wife, Rosalynn, organize their observation papers as they prepare for poll closing procedures in Monrovia, Liberia, in October 2005. 

Through its Democracy Program, ÉäÉäÎÝ has helped pioneer the field of election observation, monitoring national elections in 40 countries to help deter fraud and reassure voters their votes would count.
