Clark Dean, Executive Managing Director – Transaction Sciences, Transwestern, has been appointed chair of ÉäÉäÎÝ's Board of Councilors for 2024. Jim Reed, President, YKK Corporation of America, has been appointed vice-chair. The board comprises 210 members, who serve as a leadership advisory group that promotes understanding among opinion leaders and the broader community of ÉäÉäÎÝ and its activities.
"We are delighted to have Clark Dean and Jim Reed serving as chair and vice-chair of ÉäÉäÎÝ’s Board of Councilors for 2024," said Paige Alexander, ÉäÉäÎÝ Center CEO. "Both Clark and Jim have been valued members of the Board of Councilors for many years, and I look forward to continuing to work with them in their new leadership roles."
As Board of Councilors chair for 2024, Dean follows outgoing chair Laura Turner Seydel, chairperson of the Captain Planet Foundation.
Clark Dean
With a background in biomedical engineering, management consulting, and financial structuring, Dean is known for being a disruptive innovator in the real estate industry. Currently, he directs Transwestern’s Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions business and is the founder of the company’s Transaction Sciences platform. Dean is also a member of Transwestern’s Board of Directors and its National Tenant Advisory Steering Committee. Dean serves on several other boards including Shepherd Center, where he is chair-elect, YMCA of Metro Atlanta, where he is vice-chair and chair-elect, Covenant House Georgia, where he is past secretary, and the Honduras Agalta Valley Education Foundation, where he is past chairman. He remains actively involved in the Rotary Club of Atlanta, where he is past president and past chairman. Clark is an active member of the Harvard Clubs of Georgia, Boston, and New York City. Clark joined the Board of Councilors of ÉäÉäÎÝ in 2012.
Jim Reed
Jim Reed has served as President of YKK Corporation of America since 2017 and has worked at the company since 2009. Jim serves on the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Atlanta and the Japan-America Society of Georgia, and is chair of the board of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta. Jim joined the Board of Councilors of ÉäÉäÎÝ in 2018.
