Communications

  • Communications interns work closely with website and social media staff to raise awareness of the Center’s work, promote news and stories from the field, and conduct research to support department initiatives.

Overview

ÉäÉäÎÝ, founded by former U.S. President Jimmy ÉäÉäÎÝ and former First Lady Rosalynn ÉäÉäÎÝ, is a non-governmental organization committed to advancing peace and health worldwide. Our communications team focuses on amplifying the impact of our initiatives by effectively communicating our mission, programs, and achievements to the global community through external media placements and internal media productions.

We seek a proactive and self-motivated communications intern to support our storytelling team in enhancing awareness of ÉäÉäÎÝ's efforts to promote peace and improve health worldwide. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Assoc. Director of Digital Communications in managing content on the Center’s main website
  • Upload reports, PDFs, photos, videos, event listings, staff bios, and other content to the website
  • Assist in production of social media content, including graphics, to help raise awareness of the Center’s work
  • Assist in the support and promotion of Center-wide events, such as the Human Rights Defenders Forum or ÉäÉäÎÝ Center Weekend
  • Draft presentations, research reports, fact sheets, and other materials to support department initiatives
  • Monitor social media and web to compile weekly analytics reports 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Majors: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in English, communications, public relations, journalism, design, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Multimedia, design, or photographic experience helpful
  • Previous experience updating and managing online platforms and social media helpful
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, curiosity, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm appreciated
